GT Passport App goes live on the App Store

The GT Passport App is now available for Apple iOS devices. The ideal road-trip companion for highlighting places to stay and things to do on GT Passport’s curated UK driving routes, the App uses a device’s in-built location services to collect stamps at each venue recommended on each route. This lets users build a personalised record of their trip based on their own preferences and choices.

Perhaps uniquely, GT Passport’s developers have minimised the amount of personal user data they collect by using only Apple’s built in sign-in feature, on iOS devices. This simplifies the process of setting-up an account and signing-in to collect stamps and see journey progress. No e-mail addresses, no phone numbers, not even names are required, as all iOS users can sign-in securely and anonymously via their existing Apple ID.

Businesses can put their premises onto the app, either by joining the Business Club, for a fixed annual fee, or via an affiliate platform on a pay per booking basis. The Business Club offers a tiered membership to accommodate a variety of budgets, with anonymised stats being available to show the number of website visits, phone calls, and emails initiated through the app, and, more importantly, the number of people who arrive at venues and collect the stamp in there app. This gives a far more clear breakdown of exactly how successful their membership has been.

To download the App, head over to the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, and download the app for free today.
